Let us introduce ourselves
Joondalup Early Learning Centre was first opened in 1992, celebrated its 21st birthday in 2013 and over the years has cemented its rightful place in the Joondalup community as a highly reputable, innovative and successful Community Early Childhood organisation.
It provides Education and Care to children of families of the local community as well as those who travel from far and wide. Whilst we are located on the Edith Cowan University Campus, we are opened to the community at large.
Fittingly situated in the city’s ‘Learning Precinct’ we aim to showcase what a high quality ‘Early Childhood Program’ that highlights the importance of the well documented critical years of learning and development between 0-5; achieved by the strong connection between 4 pillars: Staff – Families – Children – Community.
A place to: Learn, Grow and Develop
A place to laugh and have fun. From its inception Joondalup Early Learning Centre, known fondly as JELC, has shad the concepts listed above in its philosophy. It decided then what sort of a place it wanted to be so that children could thrive as staff worked in partnership with families and with and in a community.
The induction of the Australian National Quality Framework and EYLF in 2012 affirmed and validated the goals, aims and objectives of JELC as being a place designed for children.
